Visits typically take 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish. Most of that time is yours, with your pet, before anything else happens.
Shoes off if that's your preference. We take a few minutes to introduce ourselves to you and your pet, and to find the right spot for the visit, wherever you'd like that to be. A favorite couch, the backyard, a sunny window, the rug your dog has slept on for years.
If you have other family members or other pets you'd like to be present, we'll work with them. There's no script for any of this.
Whatever you need. A few minutes, half an hour, longer. A favorite blanket, a treat they've always loved, a final pup cup, a sunny spot in the yard. The space and the moment are yours.
This is the step that makes at-home different. There's no waiting room. There's no ticking clock. Your pet is at home, in their favorite place, with the people who know them best.
It begins with a small injection of sedative. Within a few minutes, your pet is in a deep, painless sleep, completely relaxed and unaware. We don't move to the second injection until they are fully comfortable.
The second injection is final. It is not felt. The whole thing is over within minutes, peacefully, with your hand on them.
A clay paw print keepsake is included with every visit, before we leave. If you've chosen cremation, we handle the transportation to our trusted aftercare partners. For private cremation, ashes are returned in your choice of one of eight urns. They can be delivered to your primary veterinarian's office at no extra cost, or to your home for a small delivery fee.
In Jupiter, communal cremation is Memorial Reefs International. Ashes are incorporated into a living undersea memorial reef garden through our crematory partner.
